Freemasonry and Fraternal Organizations
This is absolutely not a complete survey of secret societies and
fraternal organizations; there are hundreds of them. This listing
is a subjective choice of the editors of this site and mainly the
result of available source-documents as rituals.
For some texts linked on this page, we have made extensive use of
The International Encyclopedia of Secret Societies and Fraternal
Orders by Alan Axelrod (published New York, Checkmark Books, 1997)
and Fraternal Organizations by Alvin J. Schmidt (published
Westport, Greenwood Press, 1980).
